Course Dates - Teacher Training Certificate IV Yoga Education (course code: 30847)


INTENSIVE 12-week course. 50 hours a week

Course duration: 600 hours, over a 3 month period. This equates to 50 hours a week. 

Speed track your learning. A total of 600 hours, of which 476 hours is teacher/student interface + 120 hours (i.e. 10 hours a week) research, personal study, assignments and homework preparation. 
 
Face-to-face contact: 
  1. Fundamental classroom training on the mat and meditation cushion: 26 hours a week (i.e. 312 hours for the course)
  2. Lectures and tutorials: Wed.10.30am-5.30pm, 6 hours per week  (i.e. 72 hours for the course)
  3. Weekly discourse and discussion: 1 hour a week (i.e.12 hours for the course)
  4. 4 weekend residential retreats which include yoga duties, 20 hours per weekend (i.e. 80 hours for the course).

Steps to obtain a Certificate IV in Yoga Education, the foundation certification for teacher training include: 
  • 600 hours at yoga, relaxation, meditation, pranayama, tutorials and residential teacher training retreats.
  • 100% attendance, no exceptions.
  • Read the Shanti Yoga Training manual and all items on the supplementary reading list. The reading and requirements provide a wealth of information and training. Your teaching will be built upon a rich foundation with insights into the various ways to guide your students in their health and healing processes.
  • Submit the writing assignments in relationship to these readings and tutorials.

This certification of completion is not to be confused with being a certified Shanti Yoga instructor. To receive a Shanti Yoga Teaching Certification, you must complete the Foundation course as certification requirements for entry into the Diploma of Yoga Teaching.
